This four day, 35-43 miles rafting adventure on the Upper Salt River plummets through numerous Class 1-5 rapids such as Maytag, Overboard, Exhibition and Mescal Falls. Calm stretches such as the Narrows allow everyone to gather and revel in the beauty of the canyon that towers above, or to enjoy a friendly "out of boat experience" better known as a swim should you be so inclined. This is also an excellent trip for first-timers as well as seasoned rafters. The fun, excitement and beauty of the Salt River Canyon have never failed to impress. Sun, Splashes, Scenery and Saguaros are guaranteed!

    Provided:

     

    • 6-person self-bailing raft
    • Paddles
    • Framer John Wet-suits, Splash Jackets & Neoprene Boots
    • Helmet
    • Personal Floatation Devices (PFDs)
    • Tent (two ladies per tent)
    • Coffee/Tea/Water
    • All Meals on the River
    • Dry Bag for your cloths (size is about 13 gallons)
    • Gear Boat, including camp kitchen, camp toilet, hand washing station,

    Dishwashing station

  • Gear (needs to fix into a 20-gallon dry bag that provided and is put on the gear boat)

    All your items will need to fit into a dry bag (we’ll provide that) which is about the size of a 13-gallon garbage bag.  Please, less is better on the river, so pack light.

    • Sleeping bag w/warm liner
    • Pillow
    • Sleeping Pad
    • Thermal Leggings
    • Thermal Long Sleeve Shirt
    • Fleece Top
    • Wool Socks x2
    • Camp Shoes
    • Folding Camp Chair
    • Sunscreen
    • Sunglasses (with draw string)
    • Hat (baseball cap works the best)
    • Cloths for the evening (it may get cold)
    • Personal Items (toiletries, towel, please no glass containers)
    • Water Bottle (one you can clip to the raft)
    • Gloves (bike gloves work great)
    • Flashlight / Headlamp (extra batteries
    • Small dry bags for personal item
    • Waterproof bag for cell phone

    Optional Items (these items are for if it rains)

    • Raingear (disposable poncho is fine)
    • Base layer – polypropylene or other wicking type is best (just in case it’s cold/rainy/windy)
